Types of Voice Over Styles. We present you "The Magic Checklist"
Voice over comes in all sorts of forms, styles and budgets. In its most basic forms, it’s just reading from a script into a microphone. And maybe that is just what you need.  But depending on the content that you want to add voice over to, it can have other requirements. For example: Standard e-Learning (segmentation + naming of files)  If you are adding voice over to an e-Learning course, changes are high that what you need is a recording split into several parts, one for each slides of your e-Learning presentation. Each audio segment must have the name of each slide, so that the multimedia engineer in charge can match the corresponding elements. Commercial or corporate recording (Synchronization + dramatization) If you need voiceover for a commercial or a corporate video, you want the audio to follow certain cues in the video that will be accompanying. It’s rarely as simple as just pasting an audio on top of a video. These audios need to be synchronized to match the right tempo. They also need to have the right tone and often require dramatic skills from the chosen voice talents. Animation or person talking on screen (Synchronization + lip-sync) If you need a certain video to be dubbed into a different language to facilitate understanding in other target countries, audio will not only need to be synchronized, if often needs lip-syncing. This means that the new voice over needs to match the tone, speed, pauses and gestures of the person taking on screen. So, what will it be? Standard e-Learning voice over, dubbing, corporate video or a commercial? Maybe something else? Will you be needing segmentation of audios, naming of large amounts of files, synchronization, dramatization or lip-syncing? Having a clear idea in mind of what you need will help us personally select the best options for you.[:]
